Don Warrener began his karate training March 15th 1966 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada under Benny Allen who also taught Wally Slocki, Teddy Martin and Tony Faceti. He was promoted to shodan (1st degree black belt) in 1968 by Benny Allen and the legendary Richard Kim of San Francisco California. He won the Canadian Championship in 1968 and in 1971 won the Eastern Canadian Championships. In 1973 he broke the "Guiness World Book of Records" record for brick breaking when he broke 3744 bricks in 4 hours and 40 minutes.

Anaheim, CA - Sixteen years and one day after he promoted his first mixed martial arts competition, Tuff-N-Uff Productions, Inc., President Barry Meyer will be inducted into the Masters Hall of Fame during the Eleventh Annual Awards Ceremonies on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at the Anaheim Hilton in Anaheim, California. Meyer, who is a 1st Degree Black Belt in taekwando, first became interested in mixed martial arts after watching the inaugural Ultimate Fighting Championship in 1993. Just seven months later he was presenting an amateur kickboxing tournament in his high school gymnasium under the Tuff-N-Uff name.
Barry Meyer began his own martial arts career studying taekwondo at age 5, and was awarded a black belt at age 12. He also trained in several other arts, including kung-fu, jiu-jitsu, and kickboxing. However it was the promotion of the martial arts that became his true passion, and he soon proved himself in that field. Among Meyer’s accomplishments are co-promoting the Chuck Norris World Combat League, promoting the North American trials of the Abu-Dhabi Combat Championships, obtaining one of the first MMA licenses in Nevada, and successfully lobbying for approval of amateur status for MMA in Nevada.

Since Tuff-N-Uff promoted its first official amateur MMA match in Las Vegas in 2003, the organization has become “the” proving ground for amateur MMA fighters hoping to turn professional. “We are dedicated to finding the future stars of mixed martial arts,” says Meyer. His group promoted the first MMA tournament and the first MMA and Kickboxing combined event in Nevada, and was the first to present an all-female MMA card. “We are constantly innovating the sport and creating champions,” at Tuff-N-Uff.

Sensei Franks, who has been involved in the martial arts since age 5, currently runs Bujitsu Academy of Martial Arts in Livermore. Anaheim, CA - Shihan Geoff Harris, Sensei at Dojo Sidcup in Kent, UK, will be inducted into the Masters Hall of Fame during the Eleventh Annual Awards Ceremonies on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at the Anaheim Hilton in Anaheim, California. Shihan Harris is a Level 6 Dan in Goshin Ryu Atemi Jujitsu as well as an expert and instructor in Core Concepts. He is also the founder of The Guild of 21st Century Fighting Styles and the European Director of Core Concepts, International.
Shihan Harris began his martial arts career as a teenager in London in 1974, studying judo and Shotokan karate. He later studied atemi jujitsu and with determination and hard work, Shihan Harris attained the level of 1st Dan in 1986, achieving a score of 96 points out of 100 from the head of the organization, Robert Clark, 9th Dan.
“I would like to thank Ambassador Jeff Anderson and the Directors of MHOF for my forthcoming induction and express my gratitude for their recognition of my 35 years of dedication to the Martial Arts. Achieving this award has been truly honourable and I am humbled by the interest that the MHOF and previous inductees have shown to me, this is a truly excellent milestone in my life. I am very proud to now be part of a very distinguished and respected part of this martial arts community.”
During his 35 years in martial arts, Shihan Harris has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of organizations, including the London Metropolitan Police and the British Special Forces. He has also worked with civilian police forces and the military in the United States, and has been awarded Friendship Coins by Sgt. Rick Rictor of the U.S. Marine Corps and Sheriff Bob Doyle of Riverside County, California. Shihan Harris also developed the Sidcup Dojo specifically to meet the needs of martial arts students, instructors, and groups. Of his induction to the Masters Hall of Fame, Shihan Hill Harris says, “I would like to dedicate it to my beautiful wife Jo, who has supported me throughout all the years. We’re a great team.”

Ambassador Shihan Robert Posslenzny Anmauinuuese Puni for his Outstanding Contributions to the Martial Arts Puni will be inducted at the 11th Annual Masters Hall of Fame Awards event held at the Disney Martial Arts Festival at Disneyland California on Saturday, June 19th 2010.
Anmauinuuese Puni who is known as PUNI by the many athletes that have trained under his tutelage is the CEO/President of Agility Speed Power Consulting; and is also a Professional Trainer and Consultant to professional and college athletes.
“I am honored to have been nominated by Masters Hall of Fame; I was blown away by the nomination” said Anmauinuuese Puni,”the first thing I did was call my family and tell them I was going to be in the parade at Disneyland.” Puni continued.
Puni has over 25 years of leadership in the Martial Arts holding a 4th Degree Black Belt in Sin Moo Hapkido; training directly under Grandmaster Ji Han Jae as well as a 1st Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.
“The Masters Hall of Fame continues to seek out Role models in the Martial Arts Community an recognize their contributions to the martial arts on an international stage. Puni has not only been a role model to the athletes from the Islands, he empowers all comes in contact with;” said Daniel Hect, CEO Masters Hall of Fame, “Puni also has a passion for education, and guides young athletes to education. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education Health Exercise with an emphasis in Sports Medicine; and is working on his MSc in Sports Management at American Sports University in San Bernardino.” Hect continued.
The 2010 Masters Hall of Fame inductees will be honored at a Black Tie Awards banquet on Saturday, June 19. 2010 and on Sunday June 20, 2010 the Masters Hall of Fame Inductees will lead the Disney Martial Arts Festival parade down Main Street Disneyland.

Dan McLellan on SanDiego.com covers the press conference held at Madera Golf Club. While it makes sense financially and that we have not been able to prioritize the creation of the right offensive line that supports LT the reality is that a major face of San Diego Sports is saying goodbye.
As muich as this makes sense it's still weird. In the last few years we have seen so many faces of San Diego Sports say goodbye including Trevor Hoffman and most of the San Diego Padres.(Nice Stadium, I don't recognize the team.)
LaDainian Tomlinson still considers himself part of the community and plans to keep TOUCHING LIVES FOUNDATION Active and has stated that he will retire ultimately as a charger.

San Diego, Ca- Ok so heres the challenge. If your not immediately a fan of the team with the advantage you root for the underdog. The problem is that the underdog is Eli Manning who really didn't want to play in San Diego when we drafted him first and then traded him to New York. I still remember that look on his face and I thought wow, that's the face of a spolied millionaire football kid. LAME!!!
After watching him play lately I can't help but be impressed with his fortitude on the road and the fact that he's just trying to do his job especially since he has been following in his brothers footsteps and Peyton just lost to the San Diego Chargers in the playoffs.
As for the New England Patriots and Bill Belichec they have a tendency to hire former Chargers. Junior Seau, Rodney Harrison, Doug Flutie, etc. The great interview that Junior had in the San Diego Union Tribune was just fantastic as well as his post game speech after they beat us. Where he basically stated... I will always be a Charger.
So there it is former Chargers with a Charger at heart who made it to the Superbowl before but played a superior team or the guy who just would rather die before he played in San Diego. Since I'm not betting I'll take a little piece of San Diego at the big game.
Wow! I can't believe that only one guy in the media has picked the Chargers to win. I mean it was already so crazy that at the Chargers Colts it seemed like the Chargers were penalized extremely as if the Officiating team got a call from the Power that be to WINk WINK we really don't wan't to see the chargers move forward because of all the lovey dovey Colt Manning Love.
(By the way I like Mannings Commercials with the exception of that really weird one with them eating cookies with Mom and Dad and his brother. I mean the budget on that must have been outrageous. The monthly food expenses of some poor country in Africa.)
San Diego Ca,- Watched first game of the NLDS opener today on ESPN. It was strange after watching local coverage all year to go to ESPN. However the East Coast is getting a taste of who the San Diego Padres are and the coverage was fair and entertaining.
I just discover Dave Roberts Blog. Dave Roberts was on fire today. He definetly had Chris Carpenters number and was able to read his pitches. However, the Padres could not Capitalize on many hits.
This team is different from last years though. This team you don't get that feeling of dread when we are behind. Today is a good example even though the great Jake Peavy faultered you could feel that it did not deter the fight in this years Padres team.
In an ideal world we go all they way.
It would be great to go deeper into the playoffs and start getting some respect and coverage from the national media and fans.
Mike Piazza on the team helps. Trevor Hoffman breaking the saves record helps. Winning the West 2 years in a row helps.
Next STEP Winning the 2006 NLDS that would really help.
