Craig G. Francis joined us on The Big Biz Show further proving his unique expertise on SBA Loan. I think one the most immpressive things about Craig is that he ccan talk about getting deals funded in the real world. If you deal only with the BANK you pretty much have only one side and one example of the deal.
San Diego, CA - (Press Release) SBA loan expert Craig G. Francis appears on The Big Biz Show with Bob “Sully” Sullivan to discuss the SBA, loans and the economy. Francis, who has over thirty year of experience in the loan industry, has brokered over 2500 business loans for over $1 billion in funding. He will be joining The Big Biz Show on a regular basis to share his knowledge and understanding of how the business owners and entrepreneurs can take advantage of SBA-guaranteed loans.
There are many misconceptions about how SBA loans work, and Francis has the experience and knowledge of the process to help dispel them. Asked what the two biggest myths about SBA loans are, Francis explained that people believe that the federal government makes loans and that the paperwork is burdensome. Both of which could not be farther from the truth.
As Francis explains on The Big Biz Show, the SBA “has never really changed in any major fashion in the last 50 years. What they want to do is get the banks to provide loans to small businesses - that’s their charter.” The SBA does this by providing a guarantee of a portion of loans made by member banks through the process, rather than actually lending money.
As to the myth of heavy paperwork, Francis discounts this completely: “Your SBA loan package can be done with less paperwork to get an answer than a residential loan. And I’ve seen some residential loans.”
The importance of the SBA is this relationship it helps to develop between businesses and banks. “It is a synergistic thing.” Francis explains. “It brings banks, it brings the business owners and it brings the SBA backing the whole thing; and it’s worked well for 50+ years.”
The difficulties arise in knowing how to match the right small business or start-up with the right bank in a way that meets the heavy criteria placed on lenders by federal regulators. As Francis points out, many of the biggest companies today, including FedEx and Nike, started out with SBA funding. “It’s emblematic of what SBA can do at the right time and right place,” he says.
After more than 30 years in lending, Francis knows how to make that relationship work. “It’s a secret,” he says, “but it’s not a big secret. I just happened to have figured out a few ways to massage things to get them to happen.”
“It’s like two people getting married,” Francis says of the process. “I’m the matchmaker.”
In order to help business owners and the general public to better understand the role of the SBA, Francis will be appearing on The Big Biz Show on a regular basis to explain such elements as who would need an SBA loan, the process of applying and how to decide if an SBA loan is the right fit. Viewers and listeners will be able to send in questions about SBA loans, the loan process and what it takes to start a business.
Craig G. Francis is the owner of Francis Financial and The SBA Loan Store. He has been a top producer of SBA Loans since 1981, and has worked with Dun & Bradstreet and Bank of Commerce. Craig Francis has the expertise to steer clients through the often confusing rules and regulations associated with SBA Loans, having helped over 2,500 businesses acquire over a billion dollars in loans. He can be contacted through CraigGFrancis.com, SBALoanStore.com, on LinkedIn, or at 888-666-9722.
The Big Biz Show i
Blog This w/ David Kamatoy returns with a brand new virtual set, new music and solid content. If you're an entrepreneur, entertainer or e-markter. This is the show to watch. Please RT, Tweet, Digg, Like and of course BLOG THIS.
We've been wanting to restart the Blog This format for a while and finally it's here. We actually shot 2 episodes but this was the one we ended up going with. The virtual set took longer to build and that was half of the restart battle. Additionally I built the show this time as template format now that we have a format.
There are a few more elements that we want to add to the show but I am finally happy with the format. I wanted something that is on the edge of crossing over to broadcast television. Something that gives a nod to our radio and television background.
The goal of the show is to be in the conversation of the convergence of media with content, being funny but not totally cowtowing to the let me turn on the camera and be an idiot. While I appreciate the work of the Viral Video Internet Stars I am constantly asking myself, "Why exactly am I watching this?"
Ideally! We want to make you laugh, think and walk away with something useful that helps you get through the entertainment, entrepreneurial &/or E-marketing world.
To be a bridge between traditional and social media in a quirky kind of way. Ideally we use this format to spinoff other projects. One that were actuall shooting this Sunday.
It is definitely an extension of DavidKamatoy.com the blog. The idea that I can talk about whatever I feel is relevant. I believe the spin-offs will become much more niched.
Anyway enjoy the show! There is my bloggy type rant for the day.
San Diego, CA - Following a short hiatus, “Blog This with David Kamatoy” returns to the Internet covering the phenomenon of the iPad, the new film “I Melt with You,”Bristol Palin’s dating status, Mark Christopher Lawrence’s comedy stylings and review of an interview with SBA loan broker Craig G. Francis.
In his first story, David Kamatoy discusses the amazing popularity of the iPad, with more sold in the holiday quarter than many pundits had predicted for the entire year. David then moves on from the popularity of the iPad to a discussion of the lessons that can be learned from Apple’s successful marketing of this and other products. The question marketers need to learn from their prospects, as David Kamatoy explains, is “How do I feel about your product?”
David Kamatoy’s second major topic is the interview he conducted with SBA loan broker Craig G. Francis which reviewed 2010, covering several areas of interest to small business owners and looking ahead into 2011. “If you’re very serious about being a business person in 2011, you want to read the report,” says Kamatoy. Craig G. Francis presents some sobering facts about the current economic situation and what entrepreneurs need to consider as they move forward in 2011.
The final major topic of the episode is the Sundance Film Festival premier of a new movie, “I Melt with You,” starring Thomas Jane, Rob Lowe, Jeremy Piven, and Christian McKay. David relates his involvement in the creation of a “Behind the Scenes” documentary of the movie, which was shot using Canon 5d and 7d cameras.
The episode also features a video starring Mark Christopher Lawrence of NBC’s “Chuck” spoofing the Activia Challenge commercials. This leads into a preview of several comedy shows Mark Christopher Lawrence will be producing in February, including at Cafe Muse in Los Angeles, Cygnet Theatre in San Diego and the new show at the Jack Dodge Theater.

Emarketing is the focus for this episode covering blogs.com, twitter tips, and Mick Moore's "Home Business Success Kit," a home education kit for starting an online business. The show also briefly touches on the iPad launch and the not so surprising Ricky Martin entertainment news.
The show starts off with a notably bright change in its virtual set, "The tone of the show is rather tongue-in-cheek anyway, so going with the bold strokes crayon-type news set is kinda fun." says host David Kamatoy.
On the first part of the show David features Blogs.com, a top ten blog site run by Six Apart, "A great resource for successful blogs." WrongButFunny.com is highlighted as blogger Brad French's Peep Photography was chosen for the Top Ten in the Chicago Tribune's annual "Peeps Diorama Contest." Twitter sites to explore include splitweet.com, tweetdeck, and mashable. David also talks about comically being denied access to a twitter group promoting blogs and a somewhat annoying example of email marketing. Ricky Martin's unsurprising revelation of his personal preferences also pops up in this section of the show.
The second part of the show is a promotional interview between TV Personality Terry Burhans and Mick Moore, The Internet Entrepreneur.

Entrepreneur/Entertainer Explores New Possibilities
San Diego, CA - Entrepreneur, Marketing Master, and Entertainer David Kamatoy kicks off his new online program, "Blog This," with a look at the Internet, technology, and theater. This first in a new series of video programs sets a tone for an irreverent look at information, technology, and "whatever we feel like covering." In the inaugural webisode, David Kamatoy discusses blogging and tweeting, reviews some of the new smart phones, and looks back at opening night of a local production of August Wilson's "The Piano Lesson."
"Blog This" is targeted at entrepreneurs, entertainers, and e-marketers...
"Blog This" is targeted at entrepreneurs, entertainers, and e-marketers, but provides enough information and entertainment to keep any Internet video watcher coming back for more. David Kamatoy begins his first episode with an explanation of blogging and how it relates to video blogging, podcasting, and traditional media. One of the goals of "Blog This" is helping people better understand the role of blogging in promoting businesses and projects. The program itself is very much in a blog format. "What's unique about the content of this show is that it's literally going to be on random formats," says creator and host David Kamatoy. The focus of the show will be on content, but presented in a variety of ways to reflect the ecclectic format of blogs.
One of the goals of "Blog This" is helping people better understand the role of blogging in promoting businesses and projects. The program itself is very much in a blog format.
In his technology section, David Kamatoy looks at and compares the Palm Pre, the Nexus One, the Blackberry 8330, and the iPhone. More than just comparing, he delves into some of the plusses and minuses of both the various phones and their carriers. David Kamatoy provides his own particular take on the good, the bad, and the just plain strange of these smart phones and their technology, and gives some advice on when to get into smart phones. There are also short discussions of the new Google "Buzz" and the new Facebook format.
David Kamatoy finishes up this episode of "Blog This" with his video interviews of Mark Christopher Lawrence (NBC's "Chuck") and other members of the cast of the Cygnet Theatre production of August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, "The Piano Lesson." Much of the footage was filmed during the opening night celebration, held at Cafe Coyote in San Diego's Old Town area, with clips from the play interspersed among the interviews.

"This grouping of tools are made up of both one that we use everyday and some newly discovered just a few days ago that show promise."- David Kamatoy, Juggler. Here are Ten Twitter Tips, social media and it's best and worst. Hopefully this will inspire a few ideas on how to build and monetize your database using twitter. This post will be discussed on the David Kamatoy Radio Show.
1.
Dell Computers $2 million and counting: Dell was the first company to come out with a press release that actually stated that they made a profit via twitter. http://twitter.com/DellOutlet started tweeting for the U.S. Dell Outlet in June 2007 based on a suggestion from someone attending the SXSW Interactive. They rewarded dell followers by promoting refurbished gear specifically and have noted sales to prove it.
THE LESSON: They created a specific type of reward and message that was different from their other marketing. In tandem with the reality that most twitter followers will be a bit tech savvy purchasing online this was a good match.
The result would have been different if they didn't do the discounted and refurbished sales.
2. Steve Agee, The Sarah Silverman Project: Steve Agee comedian started off his twitter following by pulling off a stunt on Ustream.tv about reading all first 5,000 names live on air when he hit 5,000. He is currently at 863,420.
Really good example of someone in the public spotlight using that publicity to gather a following in a new genre. Dane Cook did it on myspace and now Steve Agee is doing it on twitter.
ENTERTAINER TIP: Remember that when your on a hit show or in the limelight. Use it to build your database. Anyone in this side of the business knows that you never know when your going to get your show canceled. In radio they often sell the station out from under you with very little rumbling. If they told you the advertisers would go away.
OWN YOUR OWN DATABASE AND GET THEM TO AM EMAIL LIST
LIKE JUGGLEMAIL RIGHT AWAY.
3. Burger Lounge: http://twitter.com/burger_lounge Our friends at burger lounge did a great promotion that got some solid coverage. They gave away a burger to their twitter followers for an evening.Twitter fans, get a FREE burger in Little Italy today!
The Lesson: REWARD your followers at some point with a free gift, special discount or content.
Unsuccessful Social Media:3 Examples
4. Straight to Sales: Straight to SPAM! http://twitter.com/Wealth_Formula No Humanity This is perfect example of what does not work and will most likely be deleted as spam. Straight to a landing page with only one message. REALLY!!!
5. Good Porn Bad Porn: http://twitter.com/A_Dempsey While this may go straight to a porn link the good thing is the quotes and a varying message. Sneaky Porn Spam generally bad.
6. Don't Get Bitchy: It's a Public Forum... Personal Conversation Gone Wrong: http://valleywag.gawker.com/5152016/canuck-rag-regrets-tech-reporters-twitter-tirade Wow! read this exchange just awful. Thanks Joe Long.
The Lessons: 1. Use a landing page as seen below. 2. Quotes can be quite useful if used correctly. Choosing quotes that are related to your subject matter and then either blogging about them or just reference them back to you is a good idea in creating an ideal emotion. 3. It's public people remember that journalists are now quoting "tweets".
THREE TWITTER TIPS
7. Customize your twitter page. I use Google's picassa to create a collage using pictures and logos. You have to play with the output settings to get it right but it's a great free application.

8. Use Social Media Landing Pages ala Darren Rouse and facebook.

9. Content, Content, Content...
If you truly want to convert to sales or interactivity then you have to earn the respect of your followers through credibility. Therefore push content...
Blog postings- Like this one.
Press Releases-
Email Marketing: Jugglemail emails create unique URL's that can be easily posted onto twitter. We do it all the time with our press release emails.
Videos
Other peoples content: rt someone elses tweet usually garners attention and is often reciprocated.
10. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery: Pay attention to who you and others pay attention to and then customize that style to your own.
BONUS Final Advice: Remember that ultimately you don't own your twitter, facebook or myspace profiles. They can be deleted at anytime for complaints, overuse, spam. To top it all off the parameters are constantly changing.
TIP: Covert to a real email and contact information as quickly as possible for real contacts.
We do this using the auto responders on our jugglemail system or just dropping them into the system upon approval.
