You are a Complete Success...According to your own Subconscious Mind... Part 1

Every decision you make is a battle between your conscious and subconscious mind, and typically your subconscious mind easily wins because your subconscious mind is five to seven times stronger that your conscious mind.

A perfect personal example is MILK PRODUCTS, specifically ICE CREAM. Like mot people I love ice cream, but I’m a little lactose intolerant, it doesn't help in losing weight, it causes mucus and dark circles under my eyes, oh, and in the past it has not helped my acne at all.

However, regardless of all that, I still eat it and more importantly once I have it I continue to crave it. And that’s when it usually starts to work against me...really against me. 

I can say, “I really shouldn't eat this while I am enjoying a Milkshake...” What’s wrong with this picture?

My subconscious mind is a hell of a lot stronger.

The same can be said for any task or skill set that you know you have that you want to do more of, but can’t.

• Losing Weight
• Exercising
• Quitting Smoking
• Sales calls
• Cleaning

I bring this up because Ron Fender, my personal Clinical Hypnotherapist, is restarting his practice. He and I were prepping a talk that I had to do on the Theory of Mind, and the headline was part of this talk. As much as I was bitching about the good and bad of my current situation I realized that I was acting out and living in perfect alignment with all my unconcious beliefs demonstrating PERFECT SUCCESS of my current subconscious script.

Brilliant! I suddenly had no excuses except my own subconscious programming. Mind you, there are some great things happening with the company - projects, clients, etc. - and yet I realized that my bottlenecks are self-imposed and that I have solved much bigger problems in the past.

So currently I am

• Making a list of past positive performances
• Identifying the bottleneck
• Creating time to do the MOST PRODUCTIVE tasks
• Creating time to do the most rewarding tasks
• Rewarding myself for doing those tasks

While this subject deserves a lot more attention, I do have important tasks to accomplish. If you are currently bitching about your situation, I challenge you to take a moment and think about how long this has been going on - months? years?, decades?

Take a moment to figure out those KEY THINGS / TASKS that you absolutely should be doing but for some reason are not doing. Then stop the excuses that are holding you back and GET TO WORK!

Taking away a problem from the Subconcious Mind creates more Productivity

One of the challenges of being an entrepreneurial creative is an overwhelming backlog of worthy half-paid and non-paid projects. This challenge is not an uncommon situation as I have talked to several other entrepreneurs that are in the same boat. 

We are essentially stuck in a situation where you've got PAID projects, half-paid projects and unpaid projects. The challenge is of time. I found myself trying to burn the candle on both ends and the middle and it cost me my health. I am not even mentioning the lack of social life at this time. 

I recently had editors block which can the same as writers block. I just could'nt wrap my head around a project. I recently solved this by taking away a half paid / non-paid assignment. This was a self-assigned project that would have led to great connections and possible clients but when we got right down to it, we crossed it off the list. 

As soon as the decision was made I was able to remove some editors block and get a few things done. We've talked before about the power of the subconcious mind and it's need to solve problems. Too many problems to solve can cause some serious problems.

I have talked to other entrepreneurs that have the same problem with money. No money in the account or no obvious immediate source of income causes creative Blocks. 

I saw the same thing happen when I was working in the debt industry. It was amazing to see the relief that people got when someone else as taking on the responsibility of talking to to collectors allowing them to refocus on making money and being productive vs. debt.

WHAT'S THE LESSON?

If your BLOCKED then look at what problems your trying to solve. Can you cross one off the list?

Which projects are due and then choose to focus more on one than the other. Find and discover a way to refocus your power. 

a. Throw away the distractions. Turn off social media, email, phone, cell and just look at the project. 

b. If you need music try Pandora Bach, Classical or Jazz. Something without lyrics.

c. Your mind may need a follow through to see an actual problem solved. Watch a movie or tv episode. Be careful not to keep watching vs. working. 

d. Handwrite out some next steps or the solution to the problem and then meditate self-hypnosis or take a nap. Wake up and power it out. 

I have often napped or slept a few hours awoken and then jumped right into the project.
