San Diego, CA - Mark Christopher Lawrence, well known as Big Mike on NBC’s Chuck, hosts his monthly “Mark Christopher Lawrence Presents” comedy night at the San Diego
House of Blues. On Wednesday, March 14, the lineup will feature musical guest Jessica Lerner and comedians Zoltan, Robert Lariviere and headliner Frances Dilorinzo. The evening will begin with a Red Carpet reception starting at 6:30 p.m.
“Mark Christopher Lawrence Presents” has become the biggest monthly comedy event in San Diego, attracting top comics as well as celebrities to the House of Blues. Previous months have seen the likes of Barry Shabaka Henley, Brandon Murphy, Celebrity Chef Betsy G., Deborah Dimery, Michael Warren, Mikey Beats, Jenny Beats and Rob Deez gracing the red carpet.
“The House of Blues show is starting to take on it’s own following and it’s a blast. We are starting to see people on the street and the first thing out of there mouth is, ‘Can’t wait for the next show.’”

Headliner Frances Dilorinzo, who bills herself as “Mommy by Day, Comedian by Night,” began her career, interestingly enough, in a required college speech class where she was encouraged to include humor in her presentations. She moved from there to the speech team and eventually to the comedy clubs of Los Angeles. Since then she has appeared on Last Comic Standing, Comics Unleashed, Comedy Central, Lifetime, and BET.
Zoltan began doing stand up comedy at age 19, quickly learning that short, funny true stories were the way to success for him. He has been called imaginative, thoughtful, sharp and creative. In 2007 he had his first headline set at the Comedy Co-Op in San Diego and followed that up with three television pilots in 2009. Now in his early 20s, Zoltan looks forward to reaching the next level in comedy before the world ends in December, 2012.
As a graduate of the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, Robert Lariviere could have gone on to a successful legal career. Instead he decided to move to the light and chose to follow a more acceptable path into stand up comedy. As a member of the National Association of College Activities, Robert performs his routine of semi-political humor and observations about being a modern-day man on campuses around the country. Recently Sirus XM has aired his comedy on Playboy Morning Radio and Blue Collar Radio.
Musical guest Jessica Lerner is quickly making a name for herself locally and nationally. Since first wowing the crowd with her rendition of the National Anthem at a San Diego Padres
home game, Jessica has gone on to win a 2007 National Youth Theater “Billie” Award for her portrayal of Ariel in “Footloose.” Jessica has released her own EP and her music video “Miracle” plays regularly on the Westfield Horton Plaza video screen.
