San Diego, CA - Mark Christopher Lawrence, best known as Big Mike on NBC’s hit show Chuck, is producing and hosting an all-star lineup of comics on Friday, April 29, as a part of San Diego State University’s Fourth Annual Diversity Conference entitled “Diversity: An Integrated Approach.” Joining Mark on stage will be David Kamatoy, Scott Krinsky, Matin Atrushi, Gulden, and Mike Pace. Representing a wide variety of ethnic and comic backgrounds, the group matches the goals of the conference of engaging participants in thought-provoking dialogues on diversity issues in the community.
Although best known now for his work on Chuck, Mark Christopher Lawrence has long been one of Hollywood’s top character actors, as well as a talented comic and producer. Mark’s goal is to provide participants at the conference another way to approach issues of diversity, through the medium of comedy. Joining Mark from the set of Chuck will be Scott Krinsky who plays Jeff Barnes. In addition to his role on Chuck, Scott performs at the Comedy Store and Improv in Los Angeles.

The Turkish-born Gulden brings her comic talents to the stage as “The only female comic from the Middle East...still alive.” She regularly performs at The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, and The Ice House, and was a finalist on Find Me a Comic on station KTLA and on ABC’s Comics Unleashed.
Matin Atrushi brings his unique and personal perspective on the experience of being Middle Eastern in America to his routines. Since his first experience in front of an audience at a coffee house in Los Angeles, he has gone on to share the stage with such comic greats as Robin Williams and Chris Rock.
Mike Pace has been entertaining for over 25 years and has appeared alongside many of the greats in both comedy and music. Mike has also performed shows for the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps and for major companies including Apple, IBM, and Coca Cola. On top of this, he has been nominated for an Emmy for his work on HBO’s Comic Relief.
