I recently caught a subtle cold. I am thankful only because last season it was a violent allergy attack weeks later followed by a violent cold. The allergy attack was oddly worse than the cold because it was from a visit to Sacramento during Pollen Season. Wow!
This cold started with a sore throat that would not go away and I really thought it was a reaction to the bottle of generic Febreeze that I spilled in my office. Instead it did not go away and continued to bother me. I did not have a violent sneeze attack but it then moved to the sinus and the draining a bit into a small cough.
The biggest issue was the fatigue and sore throat. For two days the congestion was in my throat so I could not really talk. It's subtle enough that it seems like I should be a lot more productive when in reality I am moving at about 50-60% and it takes quite a bit to get going.
However I take it as a sign to slow down a bit no matter how stressed out I am because it goes back to that lesson from Tim Ferris what if you could only work 2 hours a day or four hours a week what would you do.
Like many of us I feel I could do more than I am doing. However it makes me realize that delegating and creating systems has to come into play now that the phone is ringing.
So thus I am writing a bit again. Maybe I have something to say again... OK maybe.
Don't burn the candle at both ends ALL THE TIME. It caught up with me this last week so now I rest.
