Twitter is launching another revenue angle via @earlybird. As an early adopter to twitter I was still not necessarily an early advertiser to twitter. I saw the writing on the twitter wall like most of social media that it was a CONTENT driven platform for pr and credibility.
The challenge for clients is hey HOW IS THIS TWITTER THING MAKING ME MONEY?
As an early adopter it's funny to now see retail chains like pep boys have shelf signs that have facebook and twitter icons on them.
We technically can't directly advertise on twitter these days unless it's blessed by twitter or it's somehow guised in content.
