This weekend post the gig on Friday I was a bit out of it. For a few reasons but it really has to do with screwed up sleeping patterns and some trance inducing behavior like LONG DRIVES back and forth to LA.
Normally when I sleep I allow myself to go into problem solving mode. In other words I allow my subconscious mind to work through problems. It's the same reason that the phrase, "Sleep On It, you'll feel better" has some merit to it.
The key is to actually sleep deeply and soundly and allow your mind to do that work. The problem is when your woken up in the middle of REM or cant get there because of noise, caffeine or an erratic sleeping pattern.
Last night I actually had BAD DREAMS they were not so bad as to be called NIGHTMARES I just notably recall creating versions of some problems that I am dealing with and not being able to come to a solution and then waking up. I really REMEMBERED not the details but more the FEELINGS and I guess was notably unsettled today.
A few people commented and asked if i was all right. HA! I mean I am trying to complete a Ton of projects but is it LIFE OR DEATH certainly not.
So I made it a point to work on some long overdue projects in an attempt to COMPLETE or at least get my subconscious mind this evening to help finish a project.
I think I need to call it an evening before I too far again into tomorrow. I am focused on completing several projects and I think I have seeded enough of it that "Sleeping On It" will help instead of PUSHING to a completion now.
