Military Jet Crashes in San Diego- Associated Press Report
San Diego,CA- I was watching CNN when Rick Sanchez confirmed an f-18 crash in San Diego. Obviously knowing and working in the area I immediately turned to a local station for coverage. This is just insane terrible memories of 9/11 to the terrible DC-10 crash in San Diego when I was a kid.
It looks like damage is limited but still devastating. We have no confirmed reports of fatalities at this point. However from eye witness reports at least 2 homes were a blaze from the crash. Apparently the pilots were able to to get close to a canyon.
They are keeping people away and evacuating some due to the fire and toxic jet fuel that is burning. S
This is literally miles away from our office. The crash was in University City. Near Cather Avenue and Huggins Street
