Teen Breast Augmentation Increases Just Like Hormones in the Chicken

OK this is just sad. More and more younger teenage women are trying to live up to an archetype of the ideal woman by unnaturally increasing their breast size. While I can understand some of the benefits related to cosmetic surgery I think this trend is alarming. Especially when you consider that some people develop later. Emotionally and physically I developed later, I became more comfortable with myself as time went on.

If There Was a Surgery To Be Taller and Whiter at 18 I Might have done it.

At that time if there was a surgery to become taller and whiter at 18 i might have done it. lol. It's just an odd time, as they say youth is wasted on the young.

Another Irony is that recently there has been a gain in breast size as some believe related to milk and hormone in chicken and meat. This is again something that is noticeable. The irony of some girls trying to live up to an unnatural standard that has also been created by steroid use in meat production is whacked.

So look. Get a makeover.Buy some  new clothes, Accomplish something great.

Self Confidence also comes from Self accomplishment. You can spend $5,000 on learning to play the violin as well, learning to sing, dance, etc.

If in a few years it still makes sense sure why not, but really an increase of breast augmentation at  the teenage level. Seems to me that our society and the cosmetic surgery has some issues to deal with, but ultimately its someone's choice.

Doomsday: Quite Fun Better than Expected

Doomsday 2009 Directed by Neil Marshall Starring Rhona Mitra, Bob Hoskins and Malcolm McDowell. Cool Science Fiction Action Drama

On Sunday Night I just finished helping my friend launch his upcoming project GeekRoundTable.com a blog and podcast on Sci Fi, Pop, Comic Book Culture. I has just finished juggling and was pretty tired even though I was planning on going to the office and working on filing. Inspired  by the conversation of Geekiness I decided to see a movie and thats when I stumbled on DOOMSDAY.

The first thing that came to me with a title like Doomsday, "Must be a Comedy." Ok I was wrong about that, seriously the TONE of this movie seemed pretty bleak. However as I will  reveal It was an enjoyable Film.

The main plot is based on a zombie like virus that takes over Scotland and causes havoc forcing the UK to quarantine  Scotland. Which screams of every other horror film based in that Dawn of The Dead, Shawn of the Dead, Resident Evil Genre. Similar to Resident Evil in that we have a Sexy Emotionally Unavailable Female as our hero, Eden Sinclair played by the beautiful Rhona Mitra (Which I found strangely attractive.) So right away I am worried since Resident Evils first movie was cool but I didn't care about any of the characters until the second and third film. (How's that for character development.)

It was the immediate screen presence of Bob Hoskins that made me realize that this movie could begin to improve. That and the opening sequence does move you emotionally a bit.

Not since Highlander was there ever a justification for Scottish accents. If Sean Connery were still available  for a B film he would have been in this Film. However we are graced with the great acting chops of Bob Hoskins, Malcolm McDowell and Alexander Sididig.

The Violence in the film was rather extreme I would have enjoyed a bit more inferred violence with a few graphic reveals rather than their constant and never ending barrage of blood. Only at one point do you not take the violence that seriously which involved ending the life of a small woodland creature which was disturbing and funny in a black humor sort of way.

Visually the Cinematography, Production Design and costuming was a blast. This film takes on a roller coaster of Genres from Future Monotone Lycra to Midievil  Scotland to a Mad Max esque look that basically serves as the background for the Finale Action Sequence of the film.

What really made this film fun was the visuals just kept paying off along with the plot twists and the ability to switch genres. But more importantly there was a point when you actually started to care about characters most noted when Eden Sinclair loses her right hand man.

Bottom line is that I enjoyed this film. I would not recommend it to everyone though it is a good Science Fiction Action Film that rises above the Genre a bit. However the extreme graphic violence is not for everyone. I would not make this a DATE film unless they liked Resident Evil.

Caprica Battlestar Galactica Prequel Announced

Apparently Sci Fi has approved a Prequel of Battlestar Galactica entitled, "Caprica"

I loved this show as a kid. I love the new treatment and the fact that Edward James Olmos is playing Adama. However I still feel as though his sons could look a little more Hispanic. Of course that would mean they might cast me. lol

English Patient Director: Anthony Minghella, 54, Director, Dies

Anthony Minghella has passed away at 54. The Director of the English Patient seemed to have a unique talent for creating an overwhelming feeling of love and emotion on screen. Seriously once in a while a film that comes along that inspires me,  a film that I cant imagine in my wildest dreams ever creating anything remotely as good. English Patient was one of those films that wrapped you up inside and would not let go for days.

From a Viewers standpoint: I say Cool. I do a lot of writing and watching of shows, movies, etc. at the same time. It sometimes helps me stay focused on one task while sort of half watching something. TV shows are better than movies for me since TV has a tendency to be more dialogue driven while film can be more visual.

Wishing Patrick Swayze a Speedy Recovery from Pancreatic Cancer

Entertainer Patrick Swayze is recovering and under treatment for Pancreatic Cancer. I have always been a fan and inspired by this multi-talented performer who was brave enough to dance as a kid in his mothers studio take some harassment because of it  and then go on to start in major motion pictures like roadhouse and kick some ass. As well be in incredible films such as, City of Joy.
