Sneaky Porn on Myspace....Wow!!!

This girl is really cute huh? I mean who cares if it's a bloody add for an adult dating sight right. Who cares if she's an add and not a real person I can pretend can't I. Seriously when you click through to these there is an add for an adult dating site.

What About this girl? I mean this is a real picture, she even had a fairly thought out bio that seemed real. Until I got a comment from her promoting some weird MLM or business opportunity.

This is Myspace SPAM and as much as they are trying to deal with it it's very difficult. They are getting more sophisticated in there approaches by building up a small friend list before they shoot any SPAM out or with a great professional picture like the one above.

TIP #1- If there is just one photo on the site and the photo is at the same resolution it's most likely spam. It's probably PORN.

Tip#2- If the bio seems contrite and doesn't quite match the person. It's probably PORN.

Tip #3- MARK AS SPAM AND DELETE. THE MORE CLICKS THEY GET THE MORE THEY DO IT.

My suggestion is to get rid of this stuff and mark as SPAM as quickly as possible and whatever you do don't click through. A click to these Spam Artists means that it's working. Doesn't really matter if you purchase or not. Because someone is. Just say SPAM button.

New England Patriots or New York Giants: Who do I root for?

San Diego, Ca- Ok so heres the challenge. If your not immediately a fan of the team with the advantage you root for the underdog. The problem is that the underdog is Eli Manning who really didn't want to play in San Diego when we drafted him first and then traded him to New York. I still remember that look on his face and I thought wow, that's the face of a spolied millionaire football kid. LAME!!!

After watching him play lately I can't help but be impressed with his fortitude on the road and the fact that he's just trying to do his job especially since he has been following in his brothers footsteps and Peyton just lost to the San Diego Chargers in the playoffs.

As for the New England Patriots and Bill Belichec they have a tendency to hire former Chargers. Junior Seau, Rodney Harrison, Doug Flutie, etc. The great interview that Junior had in the San Diego Union Tribune was just fantastic as well as his post game speech after they beat us. Where he basically stated... I will always be a Charger.

So there it is former Chargers with a Charger at heart who made it to the Superbowl before but played a superior team or the guy who just would rather die before he played in San Diego. Since I'm not betting I'll take a little piece of San Diego at the big game.

I have joined StumbleUpon.com: It's a blast

I have just joined StumbleUpon.com and I would love a thumbs up from anyone that's on that would be great.

Stumbleupon.com is a was to discover new sites randomly. A social network combined with a search engine. As a stumbleupon member you can rate websites that fit into specific categories. When you thumbs up those websites they are then shared with other people looking in that category.

This has been highly recommended and reviewed by PC World, IE and cnet.

YEAH WEIRD BUT ACTUALLY REALLY FUN.

Try downloading the toolbar and then pressing the stumble button. youll understand that its a quicker way to search randomly.

From a internet marketers standpoint it's a fantastic way to build traffic to your website. Another network to play in just like myspace, facebook, 2nd life, etc.

Genric Email Reponses: Know your own copy people...

If your using generic copy or automatic responses in email you need to actual remember what is in that copy.

Incident #1 Affiliate Program Denial

I recently queried a rather large affiliate house with the terms of their pricing structure as it pertains to enrollment fee's and retainers, services etc. I sent this back in December. So I finally got tired and called in talked to a guy who answered my questions directly and succinctly today, perfect

In about 10 minutes I finally got a response from the other rep at the company who did not answer my questions but proceeded to generically tell me I was not ready for their program. This is only funny because I represent different projects which have had over a 6 year life on the web. The NAME may be new but all projects have substantial business and traffic.

So the generic email gave me a lot of resources to look into which were of course valid. But the funny thing was that one of the referrals was for an email marketing solution called Constant Contact our direct competitor to jugglemail.  HUH!!!!

So obviously the rep did not look at the site. Did not look at the actual product or service because why would she refer me to a site that does the same thing that I do.

Seriously people.. KNOW YOUR OWN COPY AND CUSTOMIZE IT ACCORDINGLY.

Incident # 2 Myspace Email

I recently received this email from an obviusly generic email that was sent out about.. LOOKING FOR PEOPLE THAT WANT TO BE MILLIONAIRES USING A PROVEN SYSTEM.

I sent them an email that said...

Hey, if this isnt a scam. I would be interested in covering your progress on my show. Please send me any press kit or press release material you had.

I got back another generic response....

"GOOD FOR YOU! David,

You have made it to the qualification page.

We are not kidding when we say that we can make you a millionaire in about six months, or to state it more accurately: “You can make yourself a millionaire in about six months.”

EMAIL SUCCESS TIP:. It's ok to have a mass email go out. However then customize or write responding emails. The reason the great job that you did creating the initial query letter maybe killed by a generic 2nd letter if not handled correctly.

The web is starting to become a warmer space. People are connecting and doing business with People not copy. The copy is only a representation of the people.

Outsourcing to India:Call Center...Check, Web Development...Check, Pregnancy...?

So I was reading the paper over the weekend and I galnced a headline about Outsourcing Pregnancies to India. Wow!!! I'm not sure how I feel about this one, yet. But I do know that the power of the dollar is stronger there. We have surrogate mothers here and it is very costly and wrapped in a lot of legal challenges.

I have had friends that have had challenges and have chosen to adopt. Which is a great option by the way. No I am not friends with Madonna,yet.

I don't know if it's the rain or the amount of blogging we did this week but traffic has never been higher on a Saturday? So thank you all.

Do What You Love and the Money Will Follow.

He basically said...

You often have to learn to do something that you do not love in order to be Successful.

Wow! that was a huge eye opening revelation to me because I had to do just that. A simple example. Say you want to make a 5 million dollar picture, but you don't have 5 million dollars. Well you have to then raise it. You may not want to raise it but you have to raise it in order to do the project.

Scott uses the example of American Idol. I have 20+ years in the entertainment business and my Dad is a lyric tenor. Often in my business suit I would get approached by would-be Singers that wanted to be a POP sensation. Well the first question I would ask is, "Are you studying voice?" Often the answer is "No!"

Think about that for a moment. This person wants to compete not against the karoke singer next to him in a bar but he or she wants to compete against Celine Dione, Josh Stone, Alicia Keys, Sting, Josh Groban, Brian McKnight. Whoever it is. You better be dedicated to learning your instrument back and forth up and down.

Simply put.. YES DO WHAT YOU LOVE but identify what is holding you back from success if you really want it. Then either decide to learn that with all the passion that you have to accomplish your real dream and or learn to build a team around you that can do that with you, for you, however you want to put it.

I'm off to do phone calls. Which i don't like doing but I know that those phone calls lead to meetings and conversation which I do like and that leads me to growing the business, increasing cashflow etc. Allowing me to become the recording, comedy, movie making, radio guy that I LOVE  being.

Increase, Create and Market to your database. Why?

It's a simple rule that if you want more business increase your database and or increase your value to the customer or client. I was in sales for a long time and it's amazing to me that I would work 1 dozen leads and felt like I was FULL but the reality is that only 2-3  of those would buy and not all at the same time.
