San Diego, CA- In the last week I was contacted by an old classmate and someone who remembered my band from over a decade ago who was in a singing group with my former drummer. How? Through the miracle of social sites like myspace and search engines.
In addition I have this blog which your reading right now, due to the radio show I was lucky enough to create a blog that has some weight with the Search Engines. So when I actually write something it gets searched. Cool!!!!
GET STARTED
We have worked with a few clients and suggested to them the long-term investment of becoming a blogger. A few have really taken this advice effectively www.TheBrotherjones.biz and www.AirGorillaBlog.com.
YOUR NETWORK IS PART OF YOUR NET WORTH
That’s one of the reasons we started Jugglemail.com I mean take a moment and actually think if you would have been able to update and keep that address book from your lifetime and keep a good contact list and sent out a monthly quarterly email. How many more contacts, how many more friends, how many more parties? (Ha!)
I guess my advice is simply this. Spend some time Social Networking on the Internet. Make it part of your networking behavior as you would go to a chamber mixer. You can economize your time and it gives you something to do that is somewhat productive on the net besides looking at YouTube videos.
EXPAND YOUR NETWORK
1. Start a Blog. I use Typepad
2. Join Myspace. Search based on similar criteria as yours..
3. Join CeoSpace.biz
4. Write an end paragraph that follows your posts or emails that gives a short description of what you do and what your looking for,
5. Spent some time every day or week EXPANDING YOUR NETWORK
