San Diego, CA- I spent the better part of last weekend in the Alameda, Oakland, Sacramento Area. I had a juggling gig, a meeting with my music producer and visited and stayed with my Nephew in Sacramento.

Needless to say I had to go through the insanity of DIRECTIONS. I did google maps etc. and had to deal with the extremely specific directions as well as the reality of optional routes.

This of course led to a reminder of when I heard on tour before map websites and navigation boxes were all the rage. Whn you still tried to fold a map. This is where the cast of Robin Hood coined this phrase for a U-turn, because we took a wrong turn and had to turn around...

"First Circle of the Day"

The last day of the trip was definitly my highest circle day at a total of 5 Circles of the Day.

Daniel Goleman's book on emotional intelligence brought light to something that a lot of us knew intuitively. He continues his work in this new book on Social Intelligence.

Why is this concept important?

He looks at the traits that revolve around the quality of relationships.  Lets be honest when all is said and done, the way we interact with our closet friends and family our relationships are  the most important things in our lives.

I live in San Diego, CA and as a Padres fan you love guys like Trevor Hoffman and Tony Gwynn. If you’ve listened to the show or read the blog you know that my constant themes is Traits of the Successful, Who do you need to be in order to accomplish what you want to do?

I always liked this guy Trevor Hoffman but now I understand why, Steeg writes,”traits: a blue collar work ethic, a strong sense of team. an undying will to win an uncanny ability to stay in the moment and oh, yes humility.”

1. He masters the moment and does not live in the past or the future. He focuses on each pitch moment by moment.

2. When he became the all times save leader. His focus was to make sure that no-one was left out in the celebration. All the people that wanted to share the moment with him he made sure it happened.

3. While breaking the record, and could be considered, the best.  Trevor admits that he believes Mariano Rivera is the best. Wow!!!

4. His Dad was a Singer, and ended up being an usher at the Anaheim Stadium. Trevor got to go to a ton of Angels games and learned the working ethic, talent, humility, presence from his father.

I don’t know about you but a definitely vacillate between being weighed down by the number of tasks, unfinished projects, commitments, failures, relationships and actually focusing on what needs to be accomplished right now.

And finally accepting what I can do, what I can accomplish right now. In that moment, a sobering humility washes over me. But you know the only thing that makes me feel better is actually accomplishing a step, a show, blog entry, pitch-by-pitch.

When you run a traditional campaign on radio, print or TV you can spend up top $25,000 on a proper test and if the test doesn't work you have to test it again. The great thing about the Internet is that you can spend a few bucks to test the effectiveness of a Google or Overture ad.

But every once in a while you get lucky. We sat down and looked at a few keyword options for his www.goldenbearloan.com and  we realized that they were not too many people taking advantage of PPC.  An opportunity to effectively advertise could be right in front of you for a few bucks.

A blog based website is  search engine friendly. A blog based website is easily updateable. A blog based website is an acceptable current form of website that can be updated constantly.
