COMEDY LINES ARE RETIRED

San Diego, CA- Dave and Brad Show performed this weekend in Balboa Park and officially must retire another comedic line.

We had a short weekend of the Dave and Brad show as the weather kept us away from the park on Saturday. Today was a difficult day for me on the recovery from a cold that I caught this week.

I think we’ve learned the comedic dangers of using topical material; two lines have been officially retired due to the OLD AGE…

“ Its all fun and games until the Vice President Shoot’s someone.”

And Now…

“What do you think this is ‘Brokeback Juggler’?”

While out of context I’m sure you can see the frivolity that ensued when these line were used. When they were topical and current they were funny. We’ve seen the humor diminish over the last few weekends.

So we officially say goodbye to these two lines and are on to pursue more topical lines of comedy.

Brad will be performing this weekend at Lego Land, I have a gig at a Baptist Church on Friday night and then I’ll be in the park over the weekend depending on the weather.

WARNING!!! A Union Tribune Photographer was seen taking pictures of us and we could be in the paper tomorrow…. LOOKOUT!!!!

Caffeine is my DRUG of choice

So in the last few weeks I started drinking more caffeine and I have a love hate relationship at how much it helps. The level of creativity and sharpness is pretty amazing. I strategically have brainstormed with Dan Leavitt quite a bit and come up with some amazing strategic plans. I have noticed however that it does not come without its consequnces.

I can’t go to sleep.

When I do go to sleep I dream some very strange dreams.

I need to remember to drink a lot of water.

The other thing that gives me energy but not necessarily mental sharpness is high amounts of physical activity. I figured this out after reading the Eat Right 4 your blood type book and examining my past activities.

I had a former investment banker admit that he took Ritalin to help him put together a deal. He would apparently stay up till all hours of the night and make phone calls around the world. WOW!!!

So I'm not going that far and I realize that it’s an accepted drug of choice. So don't be surprised when we meet, I'll actually might be drinking a cup of coffee.

I don’t think I’ll go so far as to shower with it but hey…

Congrats to CRASH

Today during THE DAVE AND BRAD SHOW, brad took a moment to  give kudos and hope that CRASH would win at the OSCARS!!!

Congratulations to CRASH and all the winners and nominee's...

Keep making incredible films that inspire and move us all.

Do yourself a favor. Pretend your an Academy member and see the winning and nominated films.

Sometimes we fall into such a sea of commercialism that we forget how powerful a film can be.
