This weeks theme is all about the pattern of Success.

The Mind has a floor and a ceiling as it pertains to success. If we take money as an example. If a person makes 50,000 a year most likely that person upon losing that job will most likely seek a similar job and income. Very seldom will that same person seek additional income of 500K or 1,000,000 a year to replace the 50,000 a year.

Being an entrepreneur, a business owner is one of the only ways to excel your income in that extreme way.

In order to change your ceiling for success you need to work on a subconscious level. The Subconscious mind is 7-9 times stronger than your conscious mind.

Simple being a success will draw both praise and ire. Sometimes you must look at your project, your success and a separation of yourself. You cant make everybody happy. Just imagine that comes from one of the most beloved entertainers of our time.

Nothing Replaces Hard work and Smart Work... We all share the same 24 hours a day, the question is what do we do with it? We have about 8-12 hours of productivity a day. If we spend 8 in a work space then that gives us 2-4 hours a day to work on a project.

Spend at least 2 hours a day focused on your project or focused on the most productive thing you can do.

'People invest in People' - John Harrison often says on the show. A firm handshake, eye contact, respect  and gratitude goes a long way. Learning how to deal with people and build repore is a a very important skill set to master.

Values Values Values

Last night our discussion on values inspired this week's theme.

With everything going on in San Diego from Zuchett to the pension Issue. I think we as individuals and companies need to look at our operational value system. It's easy to feel like we are spinning out of control so I invite you to re-examine and re-organize your values if needed.

KCBQ and KPRZ Vision

"Our Vision is to touch lives, influence culture and offer hope through the presentation of a life changing message."

Whether or not we realize it or not we have values that help us make these decisions. Also these Values or traits effect our decision making process based on the order in which we place them.

For instance the FUN - value - probably was high on the list as we were younger.

FAMILY as a value may be high on your list if you have children, now.

Financial Productivity will be higher on your list in your 30's to 40's vs in your Teens or even as you get older.

Right Now it feels as though my Top 5 are

1. Health and Vitality
2. Spirituality
3. Financial Productivity
4. Confidence
5. Gratitude

So make a list of traits or values that you exude.

• Other Values
• Love
• Communication
• Passion

Think about the person you need to be or the company you need to be in order to accomplish your dream.

Then rearrange your values appropriately...

In the next days as we all make important decisions, I invite you to see if you are making decisions based on your ideal value system.

Tonight's show brought up some interesting moments.

1. Terrence Burke-Contributing Editor- Joined us to bring up the Zuchett / Insunza ruling, the mayoral race and a quick overview of some of the other articles in this month's Metropolitan.

2. Real Property- Gary London joined us to talk about his article, " Why The ‘Bubble’
Mostly Doesn't Matter"   essentially, barring a catastrophic event. The change in the market will not really be a problem unless your just a speculator. The greatest challenge is to the first time buyer.  Owww, that's me.

3. Annina Lukiini-Johnson  and Jerome Kochka joined us in studio to talk about the survey that Catalyst Advancement and Loma Nazarene University  did of 215 businesses in San Diego Some fascinating data...

Biggest Challenges

• 30% of San Diego businesses found getting their products and services to a broader market to be their primary challenge
• 21% found it to be creating profits through increased efficiency
• 20% found it was establishing a solid customer base

They help companies in Organizational Development, Our conversation wrapped around creating a value system for a company. One of the greatest value that a company can adopt into its culture is

TRUST

Apparently companies that include trust in their value system are highly profitable. Hmmm

Momma said there'd be days like this..

Today was just way too long. It was just...

One of those day... " Momma said there'd be days like this, There'd be days like this Momma Said. Momma Said Momma Said."

Some days you take the good with the bad. Some days you have to kind of stop and go hey maybe its good that I don't force the issue. I can't go into specifics.

But I remember once when I was a kid my Aunt came over to visit my Mom and I. It was a typical summer day except I was having one of those days. I proceeded to break 2 mirrors and a glass and by some miracle I wasn't cut. But I had a huge fear of 14 years of bad luck. We quickly switched to all plastic tumblers and I think to this day Mom and Dad only have one glass in the house.

So today was one of those days...Tomorrow will ROCK!!!

The show tonight was a blast as usual with James Harnsberger from the 59 Minute Solutions and Dave Smith of the NASE. We ranted about the Mayoral race and decided that the race should lean towards Steve Francis.

Steve Francis is a non-insider business guy who is like minded with Mike Aguirre's handling of the situation. This probably our best bet at this point. It will be interesting what will happen next.

Borrowing respectively from Robbins...

IF you want to create massive results you need to take massive action.

1. Make a List
2. Phone Calls or Schedule the Time
3. Meetings or Scheduled Action

Ten Day Plan- Segment a block of time that you intend to take massive action on. Let you family, team know and ask for their support.

2 Hours a Day- Dedicate 2 Hours a Day to this process. You will get something done.

At the end of the process evaluate, improve repeat...

At some point you will get smarter at the process and it will get easier but at first you need to define the behavior.

The big difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is quite simply successful people do what unsuccessful wont. So how do you do stuff that you don't want to do?

1. Make a List of 100 reasons why you need to do this project or business.

3. Older You / Younger You...

OK Went a little weird on everybody here. Ask yourself the question How old are up?
Not Physically but mentally? Maturity?

I was stuck at 15 for a long time. Then 25 for a while. Now I think I'm stuck at 30 or so...

Then, pretend that you have a conversation between an older you say towards the end of your years (80) and the younger you. Tell yourself what you need to do in order to succeed.

Take advantage of your God given skill, talent, resources, friends, ideas. Tell yourself to give up that extra episode of that sitcom and work on yourself, on your dream, your business.

I find that this sort of separation between the two selves allows some to get clarity on what they need to do next.

On a related note Zsa Zsa Gabor apparently has suffered from a stroke but is recovering. Send some thoughts and prayeers.

Both my Mom and Dad have suffered strokes and have recovered, I am always aware of stroke issues and personally trying to stay away from too much smoking, bacon and stress.

Internet Thursday- Fight the Illegal Download

Some of the things I'll look at tonight...

1. Dell and Napster are teaming up to offer discounted hardware and software to lure students away from illegal downloading. Great Idea that takes advantage of a challenge in the industry.

2. Intel joins forces with Morgan Freemans new company to offer dowloadable movies- Another Great Idea- Capitalizing on something that is already being done-but illegally.

We will be talking about the web and marketing tonight hopefully with Randall Blaum...
